ACCIDENT ON THE MALLAM-KASOA HIGHWAY

I was coming back from lectures this morning around 11:24am, walking on the foot lane of the Mallam-Kasoa highway when i suddenly heard a loud BANG ahead of me close to BENJY'S CORNER... Pedestrians and other people around rushed towards the direction of the sound...Surprisingly it was an accident that involved 3 cars a BMW, Mazda(salon) taxi and Toyota corolla S. Two private cars and a taxi. One of the private car was coming from the Mallam to Kasoa lane and the taxi and the other private car was coming from Kasoa-Mallam lane. Source says the private BMW driver lost control and the car moved towards its opposite lane, and collided with the taxi, the other private car(Toyota corolla) was behind but it was too late to step on brake so he also crashed the car in front. The pedestrians around had rush to rescue the victims inside the three cars. The Police came immediately to take some necessary measures and to control the traffic caused by the accident. The number of people involved is unknown, The victims were taken to the Ga South Municipal Hospital at McCarthy Junction for treatment. No death was recorded at the scene of the accident. I heard some eyewitness drivers narrating how the accident happened. One of the drivers said "These people because they are driving flashy cars so they drive speed unnecessarily forgetting say they are driving in town and anything can happen especially the BMW man.
Please drivers should drive carefully especially when they are in town or communities, for you never can tell what may cross your way.

  1. This is so pathetic. Drivers need to be more cautious on the road and stop driving recklessly.
