WHO WINS ARTIST OF THE YEAR AT THE UPCOMING VGMA 2014 MUSIC AWARDS...? I THINK....WILL WIN

This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is really going to tougher and bigger, because the industry awards alone was really great and has said it all for the real showdown (VGMA) which is coming on Saturday 3rd May 2014. I have gone through all the nominations, in all categories; I must say all the artists in all the categories really deserve the nominations, even though some of the nominees are not happy with the list that is out because they were not placed in categories in which they had so much faith they could win. Others also feel they ought to have been in more categories than they found themselves; others too were also excited with their nominations regardless of where they were placed. In any case, there are musicians and songs that were also left out; probably they never submitted their entries or something or their music did not meet the criteria for selection

However, I must commend the organizers of VGMA and all other stake holders involve. Ghana Music Award is really getting to the point where it can be compared to other western countries music awards. From the stage craft, organizing, the rep carpet, social networ

k interaction, performances to the lovely audiences.
The Ultimate Award in every Music Award is the overall artist of the year. This is the category with much attention from music lovers. The nominations for this year’s (VGMA) Artist of the year is really the most difficult one to predict, because all the artists that made it to this category has made the people of Ghana danced to their rhythms at a point this last year and this year, and have shown the people of Ghana and the world what they are capable of doing The Lapaz Toyota by GURU, Azonto fiesta by one of the best rap on planet earth from Africa SARKODIE, Enter d net by African Dance hall king SHATTA WALE, Baaba (God) by world’s sensational gospel singer SONY BADU, Summer party and girls everywhere by another King of Africa Dance hall SAMINI, African girls by Ghana’s number high-life artist CASTRO and my favourite of all time Aso by Ghana’s soul, cool, romantic lyrical musician KWABENA KWABENA..These are songs that has made Ghanians to put on their dancing shoes...

I most also congratulate the winners of the VGMA Industry Award,

GIMPA SRC Veep Denies Fraud

GMPIZBenjamin Essuman, GIMPA SRC  president
Henry Tuffour, Vice president of the students representative Council (SRC) of the Ghana Institute of Management And public Administration (GIMPA) has vehemently denied culpability in the alleged loss of Gh¢45,000 in the account of the SRC.
Mr Tuffuor alleged that he was not involved in the signing and cashing of the whopping amount of money as reported in the media.
Reacting to media reports about the GIMPA SRC scandal, Mr. Tuffuor admitted that he was part of the committee that took the decision to procure souvenirs for students but claimed he did not take part in the signing and withdrawal of the money.
‘Our constitution stipulates that either the SRC President or his vice can be a signatory to a cheque and not both at the same time.
The president, Benjamin Asuman and the financial chairperson, Delali Anthony, in this regard, signed and cashed it minus me,’ he claimed.
He was hopeful the SRC would soon take steps to deal with the alleged perpetrators.
It would be recalled that on April 24, the media carried a story that some students of GIMPA had allegedly descended on the SRC for failing to account for an amount of GH¢45,000.
The complainants- Benjamin Don Winas, Rosalyn Enyo Yevoo, Edward Oppong and Cyprine Okonye, alleged that the SRC President, Mr Esuman, his Vice Henry Tuffour and Delali Anthony, the financial secretary of the council, took the said amount from the Council’s account to produce diaries, pens and key holders for the students since January, this year but failed to do so.
The complainants claimed the leaders told the student body that the company they awarded the contract to produce the said items had bolted with the money.
The students claimed efforts to make the student leader account for this money proved futile and alleged that this was not the first time the leaders had used the ploy to bembezzle their money.
The Tesano Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Aboagye Nyarko said the police, upon receiving the complaint, invited the suspects for questioning and during interrogation detected that the leaders had also filed a case of fraud against a company called Dor Consult in consultation with the school’s management.
He said as a result the CID Headquarters and Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) were conducting further investigations.

Musicians D2 Mad AT Charterhouse And DJ Armani Of Citi Fm

D2
Hiplife music duo D2 are full of anger this evening to the extent that if close people, do not calm them down, they might do the unexpected especially on social media.
What is the problem with the “Fever” hit makers? Read this: Right after watching the diaries of this year`s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards hosted by Amanda on GhOne, they have realized that Charterhouse and their cohorts want to sabotage them in this year`s award.
“Can you imagine that during the diaries of the VGMA on GhONE not long ago, whilst showing all the videos of the nominees, GhONE failed to show the song that they nominated us for that is “Fever” but rather played the video of our old song “wonko”. We feel this is a clear sign of sabotage by the posse of Charterhouse and especially DJ Armani who was also in the studio as a panel member” they angrily told flexghana.com.
Musicians D2 Mad AT Charterhouse And DJ Armani Of Citi Fm“How can DJ Armani say on tv that Charterhouse added D2 to the nominations because they wanted to increase the number of nominees in that category? Is this a calculated attempt to sabotage us or what? How come they never played our Fever video which featured Shatta Wale. In fact we are disappointed in Charterhouse and DJ Armani. Dj Armani`s music chart which is publish in the Graphic Showbiz newspaper had D2 in there at number 8 and none of the nominees in the best group category appeared on that chart and now he is saying we did not do any work. What kind of hypocrisy is this? This is a clear sign of sabotage but we wait to see” they added whilst talking to this flexghana.com reporter.
D2 has been nominated in the best group category in this year`s Ghana music awards alongside R2BEES, 4X4 and RUFF & SMOOTH. Who stands the chance of winning that category is our only question.
